[Cette cardiopathie congénitale] comporte : - une adhérence des valves septale et postérieure de la tricuspide au myocarde sous-jacent, qui aboutit au déplacement apical de l'anneau tricuspide fonctionnel et à une atrialisation du ventricule droit; - des anomalies de la valve antérieure, dont le tissu redondant est le siège de fenestrations. Des attaches de cette valve à la paroi ventriculaire droite peuvent limiter sa mobilité. À ces anomalies de base dont la morphologie et l'extension sont variables, s'ajoutent habituellement des anomalies de la paroi du ventricule droit.
